Talking about climate change is important, as is planning for the future. But what does implementation of adaptation and resilience measures in coastal communities look like? How do studies and reports turn into actions? Construction and design are the most visible changes, but changes to building codes and zoning ordinances are also essential to adaptation. This session will feature presentations from coastal communities of various sizes about specific actions they are taking to prepare for the future and become more resilient to the present. Speakers will discuss their processes, challenges, funding, and lessons learned.
