Descriptions should be clearly written and concisely state how the proposed presentation addresses the conference goals.
Content: Presentation or session ideas should demonstrate relevance to the conference themes and topics and show how the project or issue is pertinent to the Carolinas. The Program Committee may decline to consider abstracts with other focus.
Format: The purpose of providing interactive presentation formats is to engage the audience and create opportunities for learning and networking. If there is a particular type of presentation format in which you would like to present, please select the appropriate presentation type on the submission form. If you do not make a selection, the Program Committee will assign the presentation format that best suits your presentation description.
If you are submitting a full session proposal, you may select from the list of presentation formats or you are welcome to design your own session format. We welcome creative ideas to share your work in an engaging and interactive way. For instance, you could host a panel discussion or you could organize small group discussions around a key topic or theme. Proposed sessions may be either 1 1/2 hours or 3 hours, if you are proposing a mini-workshop style session.
If you are interested in having your presentation or session included in the Innovation and Technology Track, please be sure to include either "innovation", "technology", or both in the keywords on your submission form.
Individual presentation ideas should be submitted using the Presentation Submission Form.
Please use the separate Session Submission Form if you would like to organize a full 1½ hour conference session or 3 hour workshop-style session.
The submission deadline is Friday, April 13, 2018.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail once you have completed the submission form. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact Amanda Farris at (803) 777-6875 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
